Design Brief: Nue Lip Liner Packaging

This project focuses on creating a double purpose package that can be reused instead of thrown away. The goal was to design something functional and sustainable beyond its initial use.

I developed a lip liner kit called Nue, centered around the idea of being bare and embracing natural beauty. The concept promotes makeup as a way to enhance features rather than hide them.

The packaging is a custom engineered box that includes built in features such as a lip liner holder and a pencil sharpener, allowing the user to keep and reuse the package over time. This adds both convenience and longevity to the design.

The visual direction uses soft, nude tones to reflect simplicity and a natural aesthetic. The patterns and shapes are inspired by the smooth, fluid stroke of a lip liner pencil, which is echoed in the curved forms and the typography of the Nue logo.

Overall, the design combines function, sustainability, and branding to create a package that feels minimal, purposeful, and aligned with the idea of effortless beauty.
